This form is important in the design process as it is a way for the designer to check that the objectives, assessments, and activities are properly aligned, varied, and meaningful.
- Absorb activities are ways that students learn by reading material, listening to lectures or watching videos or presentations. Absorb activities are passive learning.
- A Do activity requires the learner to be active in some way. They might play a game or participate in some type of activity. This type of activity is for practicing what they learned in the absorb activity.
- The final type of activity is the Connect activity. In this type of activity the learner is making connections to what they know, something they have done, or applying it to real life.
