Course Assessment
In this course, there are a variety of assessment opportunities for the learner. These will be more of an assessment for understanding as this is not a graded course and the learners will be given feedback and opportunities for self and peer assessment throughout the course.
In this course, students will be working with a badge or certificate program to increase motivation and the assessment will lead to earning the badge or certificate of achievement.
Assessment formats include presentations, document creation, blog summaries and reflections, screencasts, video and audio, sample projects, lesson plans and planning sessions.
As this is a course about using technology to enhance student learning, I thought it was important to include a variety of technology-rich assessment opportunities.
Assessment is one of the most important parts of the design process and is where this process should start once the objectives have been created. The assessment should be based on the objectives and should be a way for the learner to show how they understand a meet each objective.
